A: No, it is made in special super light material and can float in water.

This is the second Tayogo waterproof FM radio I've purchased. I like the product. I use it in a therapy pool when doing exercises for my bad back. It works well, it sounds good, and charging the battery via a USB connection saves the environment and money. The downside of the unit is the little stem which charges the unit via a proprietary cord with a USB end. The little stem then fits into the slot on the headband to play the radio. It is very fragile. My first one broke off time and time again. I used superglue to repair it for two years until it would no longer work. Hence, the second unit. I'm a careful person - I don't rough handle my electronics. I followed directions and bent the headset before inserting the play unit, yet that stem is so fragile it broke anyway.

I am so pleased with this purchase. The headphones were super easy to download my music. The sound is unbelievable! The battery life is hours and hours.. In fact, I've not had to recharge the battery yet. These headphones are lightweight, comfortable and waterproof! I was looking for something like this to take along when I walked or jogged. (I try to jog, but a lot of days it's just walking :-) I love that it sits so securely on my head, with no wires. I also really appreciate that it's got a built-in MP3 player. (I don't always want to take my phone along, because 1) it's big, and 3) I'm always getting caught in Florida thunderstorms, and 2) people call/text me, and I like to get away from that for just a little time every day.) It's waterproof, so I'm thinking about trying it out in the pool, too, where I wouldn't dare bring my phone. Sound quality is pretty good, convenience is excellent.

A magnet in the ear buds or simmering else to keep them tucked away would be a nice gesture. They work perfectly under water, but even in random phasing all songs it likes to play the same three songs on the mp3 player. I wish there was a way to connect it to bluetooth on my computer since i often use videos there to workout after a swim or run.

Ordered been using about twice a week since then to listen to podcasts and audio books while swimming. At 5+ months already outlasted a much more expensive waterproofed ipod. Very easy to add and remove audio files. Only down side is that of course there is no visual display so it's super challenging to forward or rewind or queue up if you forget where you left off. Of course if you are listening to music that wouldn't be a problem! I stopped loading audio books because of that and now just do hour or half hour podcasts so that it's easier to keep track of which files have already been listened to. Comfortable, doesn't snag on goggles or ears. I do avoid flip turns since the force tends to pull the earbuds out of my ears.

Its comfortable both in and out of the water for long periods of activity, plenty of battery life too. Love the option of bluetooth or internal memory, I cant always have my phone near me but being able to load up a few thousand songs or listen to the radio is an awesome trade off. Did a 2000meter swim using bluetooth and I never lost connectivity, this morning I decided to load up a couple of work out playlist and busted out a 7 mile run until the rain caught me, but I didn't have to put them away since they are truly waterproof. I know it's not band name but this company is going places!

I love having music on my morning swims and this player is comfortable and sounds great in the water. Like some others, mine lost sound in one of the ear peices. I emailed customer service, sent them a photo of the model and my proof of purchae and they immediately shipped out a new bone (headset component). I get that things can break, especially when used for sport and in water - what matters most is how the company responds. And Tayogo responded fantastically! I recommend for sure.
