I've been a swimmer all my life, and the biggest problem I have had to battle is boredom. I knew I could swim longer if it wasn't for that. In the old days, I would strap a cassette player (and, later, an iphone) to my waste inside a waterproof bag and listen to music using waterproof earphones. That was very cumbersome and so I essentially stopped swimming. I had hoped bluetooth would be the answer, but it doesn't travel well through the water, and I thought that the only other option these days is to preload an mp3 player, which is a pain. Well, things have come a long way, baby. This new Tayogo device is able to transmit through anything I want (music, books, etc.), through the air and the water, from my iphone to the headphones, even while swimming. For this reason it is a total game changer. It is also super easy to set up, is compact and comes in a sturdy little case. I will credit Tayogo for the years (if any) that will be added to my life because I don't leave the pool too soon due to boredome. Thanks Tayogo!
For the Coach-Tayogo T6 + W25 Wireless Swim Coach Communication System
Actually an amazing option, but isn't for everyone, and has some drawbacks. I've only seen one other option for streaming from your phone while swimming (Zygo) - and it's much more expensive. Price on this is pretty reasonable for the technology. Bluetooth doesn't transmit under water, so this is a great alternative. However, it only works to about 1 foot under water. For normal lap swimming, this is fine - except for flip turns. Every flip turn creates static while you're turning. If you don't do flip turns - then it's not a problem. If you do, then this is the biggest downside. Sound quality is good (nice and clear, but not fancy). Sound is good for music while swimming. You can listen to a podcast, but the volume is a little light with the noise of the water (using ear plugs) - but still doable. I haven't tried the talk to swimmer feature, but assume it would be clear. Extremely easy to set up and use. Fit is great. If it's like my other Tayogo headphones - the battery life and range are excellent. But I just got it, so I don't know for sure yet. I have a few Shokz swimming headphones. They are a little better (sound quality and comfort), but more expensive, lower battery life, lower bluetooth range, and most importantly - they don't stream. So that's the key. If you want to stream, like I do, these are great. If you just want to listen to preloaded music (mp3s) - you don't need these. These headphones also have regular bluetooth - in case you want to use them outside of the water I haven't tried out the maximum range yet, but the signal seems very strong. In a pool, I can't imagine it could be a problem. But I'm going to try them in open water and see how far they go.

These are clearly designed for swimming, not as everyday headphones, and once you use them that way, they make a lot more sense. The bone-conduction audio works well underwater and you don’t have to worry about earbuds falling out, which is the whole point. Sound quality isn’t going to rival normal headphones, especially above water, but in the pool it’s surprisingly clear and consistent. The built-in MP3 storage is key here Bluetooth underwater is unreliable, so loading music directly is the way to go. Controls are simple and easy to use once you memorize the button layout. Fit is secure and comfortable, even during longer swim sessions, and they stay put without causing pressure or irritation. Battery life has been solid so far, easily handling multiple workouts. These aren’t for audiophiles, but if you want music while swimming without messing with earbuds or waterproof cases, they do exactly what they’re designed to do. Good volume control and functionality.

I’m very pleased with this bone conduction waterproof headphone for swimming. It has a built-in MP3 player, FM radio, and Bluetooth, which makes it very versatile and convenient to use in and out of the water. The unit is compact and attaches easily and securely to my goggles without getting in the way. The buttons are simple and intuitive, making it easy to turn the device on/off, switch modes, and adjust the volume—even while swimming. The sound quality underwater is clear and enjoyable. While I personally would prefer a bit more bass, the overall audio performance is still very good. Overall, this is a great product that makes my time in the water much more enjoyable. So far, I've been very happy with the T6 transmitter and the bone conduction headphones. I've also had a good experience with customer service. If I could give the manufacturer one piece of advice, I'd recommend making the transmitter waterproof. An accidental fall into water is always possible. Otherwise, I recommend buyers also purchase a floating case, such as a smartphone case. You never know.
Had a few of the Tayogo devices and this one works well in the water. I did get a slight irritating buzzing from the conductor whilst using on a dog walk but definitely worked. tested in a large sauna area and the bluetooth worked great, cutting out when underwater as described. I was a little puzzled about the ear buds from another type of Tayogo device but was easy to add MP3 files and that works fine. slightly uncomfortable when trying to lie down as the band at the back was fixed so pushed off the bone Controls are easy to use and phone connection simple

I’m really impressed with these headphones; the quality and the fit. I know these are sold predominantly for swimming, but actually, I can’t comment on the waterproof qualities as I got these for running and for my son mountain biking. They are a great fit without feeling intrusive on the back of your head. These headphones are lightweight but hook perfectly around my ears to be able to run with them on with the loop at the back going onto my ponytail. I love that with these I can listen to music whilst still being aware of my surroundings unable to crossroads or be cautious of those around me. These are the only headphones. I’m happy to show my son for the same reason so when he’s out mountain biking, he can maintain the awareness of what’s going on around him as his ears are left free. The charge relatively quickly and the battery lasts more than long enough for our needs.

These headphones are great. They are clear good quality and play streamed music flawlessly. The colour is clean and the design elegant. I can not fault the connectivity. Battery lates 15 hours without charge and charging is simple, with either a USB or C port, as both are supplied. 32gb of memory is more then enough and allows a shuffle play selection. They work very well whilst both running and swimming.
After trying several cheap waterproof MP3 with terrible audio quality or the battery blew up, I've been happily swimming 4-6 x wk for an hour with iPod Shuffle and wired headphones. When it died I looked at all the available options. I made a leap of faith and ordered a Tayogo with bone conduction. It takes a few minutes longer to get everything turned on and settled in place, but I love the flexibility of it. Anything I can stream on my phone, can be played with it. No one else at my pool uses a Tayogo so I have had no problems with interference or needing to change channel. It is a bit different having controls (phone & handset) in my swim bag poolside instead of at my finger tips. I was pleasantly amazed by the audio quality of the bone conduction. The silicone headset is sturdy and hopefully will last a long time (my old wired headphones had to be replaced every few months). Admittedly I do not do flip turns, but the strap of my swim goggles seems to hold headset in place. I am still perfecting wearing of my swim cap to retain ear plugs without interfering with headset contact with cheek bones. Swim on with entertainment!
I extensively researched products to listen to books while swimming laps, and considered a few approaches, and even tried one other product, which was quite a bit more expensive than this, and I was disappointed with it. This product really works well. Having the FM transmitter makes a huge difference - if you use just Bluetooth, as most of the other products are, you will be struggling to hear whenever your head is under water - Bluetooth just does not travel through water. This has the Bluetooth option, which you could use when out in the rain or whatever (without having to use the transmitter). But in the pool, you want to use the transmitter and receive the signal via the FM is sends out to the headphone. I just put my phone and the transmitter on a bench or even on the lip of the pool (the transmitter is somewhat water tolerant - but is NOT waterproof, like the headset), sync the headset and the transmitter to the same channel (it has something like 15 channels, so you can avoid interference, and I've learned that the higher channels are stronger in case you need that in your situation, though it will drain the battery somewhat faster. It's a great product. Until I worked out all of the details of how this would work for me, I was in email contact with the Tayogo company, and their responsiveness was fantastic - they got back to me quickly with thorough, clear instructions, pictures of instruction pages, even a video, to help me make the most of the product. They even turned me on to a battery power widget for my phone that I can use to check the battery power of ANY Bluetooth connected device. Great product, great price, great company!
Great Headset! Been buying different swimming headphones for years now. These work great and are very innovative. Tried some from a different company once and went straight back Tayogo. This is the next step in swimming headphones. Battery life is good and I usually don’t have to charge for a few days at a time. Just bought these, but last pair I had are still working and still super comfortable as well.
When I tried to go swimming with them they didn't work. However, one of my partners is an audio engineer. He explained how they work and I realized they were losing contact with my ear slightly while I was swimming. When I put on a swim cap that kept them pressed against my ear, they worked great.
Good news, they work. Music sounds good in water. Swimming is a lot less boring now. Make sure to have the aerial all the way up ( music is much clearer and no static interference).

I wasn't sure what to expect from headphones that could be worn in the pool but I was intrigued by the ability to listen to music while I swim laps. I was able to pair these with my iPhone very easily. I streamed Apple music and it worked seamlessly. Once in the water, I was impressed by how crisp the sound quality was. These are a game changer to be able to listen to what you want in the pool. The ability to listen to music makes swimming laps a lot more enjoyable and I've found that if I listen to faster music, my pace quickens and I get a better workout. I'm so happy that I took a chance and decided to try these because it's making my swimming much more enjoyable! 5 out of 5 stars!
I have been searching for years for a reasonably priced swimming headset that could connect to my phone and provide clear sound underwater. This is it, with one caveat: use with swim earplugs. When I first tried this a few weeks ago, the sound was static-free but slightly distorted by the water. The following week I used my swim earplugs with the the headset and the distortion was gone. Sound as clear underwater as it was above water (or close enough). I put the transmitter, with antenna fully extended, on an object at the side of the pool roughly mid length of the olympic length. The transmitter is squat at the bottom to stand up solidly on any flat surface, even in the face of wind. Swimming freestyle, my right ear is repeatedly going under and out of the water, during which the sound quality remains relatively unchanged. I have experienced no other swimming headset, at an affordable cost, that comes close to matching this. Setup is easy if you follow the direction. Hold the transmitter button down for 2 seconds to turn on. Then hold the headset power button down 2 seconds to turn on. Connect to phone via bluetooth - "T6". Then double press the headset power button for "receive mode" which automatically connects to transmitter. The connection to the phone at that point is no different than for any earbuds. There are multiple channel options but I have not had a need to change. The antenna unscrews from the transmitter and everything fits cleanly in its protective case which is light enough to keep in your gym bag all the time. Quality of everything seems good - very sturdy/solid. Definitely recommend. If anyone from Toyogo reads this I suggest including a pair of inexpensive earplugs with the set.

when I saw these I was like YES! I had never even thought of getting swimming ones since I'm not a swimmer. But these work every bit as well as the other, far more expensive pair I have AND these are waterproof. No more worries about unexpected rainstorms. They are comfortable even with my helmet and the sound quality is excellent. I was on a swim team in high school and wow - the screaming coaches nearly drove me insane. I think this would be a GREAT item for families on vacation at resorts. Get a set for each kid in the pool so the parents can communicate with them easily despite the crowds.

I had no problem with the signal. The podcast came in clear (no interference and no fade) even doing a flip turn at the other end of the pool.The transmitter switches the bluetooth signal from your cellphone to a one watt FM signal to your headphones. You can test this signal out by using a FM radio. One of the drawbacks is the additional time in setting it up before my swim. It went better than I thought the first time I set it up. The transmitter like your phone is not waterproof so you have to be cautious. I keep both in a clear plastic makeup bag with the antenna hanging out. If you like listening to podcast without spending the time downloading it to your headphones than I recommend these.
