WHAT IS BONE CONDUCTION?
Bone conduction is a method of sound transmission that bypasses the outer and middle ear by directly vibrating the bones of the skull, allowing sound to be heard through the inner ear (cochlea). Here’s how it works:
- Vibration: Sound waves are converted into vibrations, which can be conducted through the bones of the skull.
- Transmission to the Inner Ear: These vibrations travel through the bone directly to the cochlea, the part of the inner ear responsible for converting sound vibrations into electrical signals that the brain interprets as sound.
- Advantages: Bone conduction is particularly useful for individuals with hearing impairments related to the outer or middle ear. It allows them to perceive sound without blocking the ear canal, which can also be beneficial in situations where awareness of the surroundings is important (like during outdoor activities).
Bone conduction technology is commonly used in hearing aids, headphones, and communication devices, making it an innovative alternative to traditional audio transmission methods.

WHAT IS THE IP68 WATERPROOF?
With an IP68 rating, they are water resistant in fresh water to a maximum depth of 1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes.
For Tayogo products, we have even higher waterproof standard, with Tayogo Waterproof headphones, our test standard is 10 hours under water! Swim as long time as you want with Tayogo waterproof headsets.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES COMPARED TO TRADITIONAL IN-EAR DEVICES?
Bone conduction refers to the transmission of sound through the skull and jawbones, stimulating the auditory nerves and causing hearing. The advantages of bone conduction are as follows:
·Does not damage the eardrum: Bone conduction technology bypasses the eardrum and directly transmits sound through vibration of the temporal bone.
·No insertion into the ear: Clean and hygienic, comfortable for long-term wear without discomfort or pain, and prevents bacterial growth in the ear canal.
·Open-ear design: It allows for safe outdoor use and enables the wearer to hear ambient sounds even while wearing headphones, making it convenient for outdoor activities, sports, and driving.
HOW TO CHOOSE BONE CONDUCTION DEVICES?
Distinguishing between genuine and fake bone conduction headphones is crucial. Genuine bone conduction headphones transmit sound through the vibration of the temporal bone, bypassing the eardrum, which is more comfortable and healthier. Be cautious of counterfeit bone conduction devices that have open speakers on the earpiece.
When considering comfort, choose devices that are open-ear, sweatproof, and stable during activities such as running. They should be lightweight and comfortable to wear, allowing unrestricted movement and training.
Sound quality is also essential. Select devices with excellent sound production technology to ensure a clear and immersive listening experience.
Lastly, consider communication experience. Look for headphones with privacy protection through anti-leakage technology and clear communication through noise reduction technology, which are practical features during phone calls.
DOES IT HAVE SOUND LEAKAGE?
Bone conduction headphones work by transmitting sound directly to the brain's auditory nerves without passing through the eardrums, resulting in clearer and more layered sound quality. However, as the headphones vibrate during operation, it causes sound waves to disperse into the surrounding air. Currently, all bone conduction devices on the market have some degree of sound leakage. Nevertheless, Tayogo uses anti-leakage technology to minimize this issue to an almost negligible level.
CAN I USE BLUETOOTH FOR SWIMMING?
NO. Water will block the signal under water. Please transfer the playing mode to be MP3 for swimming.
HOW TO AVOID HEADSET FALLING DOWN WHEN SWIMMING?
For W22, you can wear the headset first, then fix it by Goggel's strap.
For w16 & w18, you can wear on the head, then wear swimming cap.
This way, you can swim at any stroke and ear buds will not fall off.
