Bluetooth signals do not travel reliably through water. Your phone connects to the Tayogo T6 transmitter via Bluetooth above water, and T6 uses FM transmission to send the audio to compatible receiving headphones.
Do I need to download Spotify playlists before swimming?
No. You can play Spotify, Audible, Apple Music, Amazon Music, podcasts and other phone audio through T6 without downloading the content to the headphones first.
Which audio apps can I use with Tayogo SwimCombo?
You can use almost any app that plays audio on your phone, including Spotify, Audible, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, podcast apps and audiobook apps.
How do I set up Tayogo SwimCombo?
Pair your phone with T6, fully extend the T6 antenna, turn on your receiving headphones and set both devices to the same channel. Then start playing audio on your phone.
Is the T6 transmitter waterproof?
No. T6 must remain dry and above water on the pool deck. Place it in an open, elevated position and keep your phone nearby for the best signal.
How far can T6 transmit?
T6 can transmit up to approximately 150 meters in open areas and around 1 meter underwater. Actual performance depends on pool design, obstructions, interference and device placement.
Can several swimmers listen to one T6 transmitter?
Yes. Multiple compatible Tayogo receiving headphones can listen to one T6 when all headphones are set to the same channel.
Can a coach speak to swimmers through T6?
Yes. T6 supports live voice transmission with its compatible microphone, making it useful for private lessons and small-group swim coaching as well as music.
Which SwimCombo should I choose?
Choose T6 + W18 for HiFi in-ear sound, T6 + W23 for a secure silicone neckband, T6 + W24 for compact bone conduction with flexible wearing options, or T6 + W25 for an affordable open-ear design.
Should I wear earplugs with bone conduction swimming headphones?
Yes. Wearing the supplied waterproof earplugs with W23, W24 or W25 helps reduce water noise and usually makes the audio clearer underwater.
Will the audio stop during flip turns?
The signal can briefly weaken when the headphones go deeper underwater during a flip turn. Reception normally returns when you rise closer to the surface.
Can I use the headphones without T6?
Yes. The headphones support three modes: Bluetooth, FM and Receiving Mode. Bluetooth and FM can be used independently without T6. To stream phone audio while swimming, use Receiving Mode with T6, because Bluetooth does not work reliably underwater.
