How to Listen to Spotify While Swimming: The Ultimate Guide to Streaming Music Underwater

Spotify and other streaming apps cannot connect directly to ordinary Bluetooth headphones underwater. Tayogo's T6 system solves this by keeping the Bluetooth transmitter dry and sending the audio to a compatible swimming receiver by FM.

How T6 streaming works

  1. Your phone plays Spotify, Audible, Amazon Music, YouTube or another audio app.
  2. The phone connects to the dry T6 transmitter by Bluetooth.
  3. The T6 converts the audio to an FM signal.
  4. A compatible Tayogo swimming headset receives the signal while you swim.

The T6 offers 16 selectable channels. For best performance, keep it dry, place it near the pool with a clear path to the swimmer and fully extend the antenna. Its stated range of up to 150 meters applies to suitable open conditions; walls, interference, placement and the swimming environment can reduce practical range.

Choose the right T6 Swim Music Combo

T6 + W18

Choose this combination if you prefer an in-ear fit. The W18 included in this Swim Combo has no built-in memory; it receives live audio from the T6. The separately sold standalone W18 has 32GB built-in memory.

T6 + W23

W23 is a bone-conduction receiver with Bluetooth, FM and receiving functions. It does not include built-in MP3 memory. Choose it for a comfortable open-ear style when live T6 audio is the main priority.

T6 + W24

The W24 included in this Swim Combo has no built-in memory and receives live audio from the T6. The separately sold standalone W24 has 32GB built-in memory.

T6 + W25

W25 offers Bluetooth + receiving without built-in MP3 storage. It is a streamlined bone-conduction choice for swimmers who mainly use live T6 streaming.

Setup steps

  1. Charge the T6 and swimming headset fully.
  2. Pair your phone with the T6 by Bluetooth.
  3. Select the same FM channel on the T6 and the receiver.
  4. Start your audio app and confirm sound before entering the water.
  5. Keep the T6 dry, extend its antenna and position it above the waterline.

Troubleshooting

  • No sound: confirm the T6 and receiver use the same channel and raise both volume levels.
  • Interference: switch both devices to another one of the 16 channels.
  • Short range: fully extend the antenna and move the T6 closer with fewer obstacles.
  • Phone disconnected: keep the phone within normal Bluetooth range of the T6; the phone does not connect directly to the underwater headset.

MP3 or streaming?

Choose a standalone W18 or W24 with 32GB memory when you want independent local playback. Choose a T6 Swim Combo when you want live playlists, podcasts, audiobooks, coaching audio or any sound produced by your phone. All current T6 Swim Combo receivers—including W18 and W24 combo versions—have no built-in memory.
